Fabulous and authentic! The staff were kind and helpful with recommendations and explaining the menu. I settled on a noodle dish. It was a large portion, very fresh and delicious. I also enjoyed the fresh packaged to-go items and took some snacks for later. Friendly and casual atmosphere. Easy parking.

As a local Korean, this one of my all time favorite restaurants in all of Illinois. There are other Korean restaurants in the area but Korean Spoon uses authentic recipes that make the food taste just like the food back in Korea, which is so hard to find in the Chicagoland area..! I’ve tried a variety of other dishes as well but I love the kimchi stew as well as the noodles !!! The owners are the friendliest and seem to have such a warm heart. 10/10 recommend the lunch options here and they also have a lot of Korean stews and banchans (side dishes) packaged and ready to be taken home :’) It tastes so much better than the banchans and the gimbap at Joongboo Market down the road

A hole in the wall authentic Korean restaurant with traditional Korean meals for reasonable prices! Food was served with a lot of free bonchon (side dishes) and piping hot when I got the kimchi jigae to go. Service is friendly and I highly recommend stopping in— if you can manage to go between their limited hours!

The interior is Korean "covered wagon (poh jang mah chah)" style. The menu is pretty diverse (see pictures). The seafood soft tofu stew (hae mool soon doo boo jji gae) is delicious with a good portion, but priced slightly higher than other Korean restaurants in the area like San Soo Gab San and Joong Boo Market Food Court. Good side dishes (bahn chan). Korean Spoon only serves lunch Tuesday through Friday. Closed on Monday.

Wow. This was my first time trying Korean food. I tried the pork kimchi and wow was it amazing. I have never tasted anything quite like it. I have a sensitive stomach and it never upset my stomach. The ingredients tasted so fresh and so good. I will be back to try more of the menu!

Clean authentic Korean food has disappeared over the last decade. This is closest to home cooking you will get. We moved out of state but we always stock up every month when we are in town. Super couple running the business, hard working small business owners with fresh food. Quality is awesome and honest cooking.
